I will bill out the costs for the upcoming shows along with the training fee and any other fees each month. Most shows require pre-entry of one week to a month before the show date and these shows will be billed according to when the entries are due. If you are going to be late paying your bill or need to make more than one payment please let me know in advance. I am very accomodating to work with, but need to plan my finances accordingly since many shows will cash the entry checks a week prior to show date.

I will provide show halters, blankets, sheets, neck sweats, etc.

Training/Showing Information
:
For those new to having an animal conditioned for show or trained for a certain event here are some guidelines to give you an idea of costs and time involved.

Halter or sale condition
ing--Six weeks to two months (MINIMUM) to get good body condition and muscle on animals coming in with average condition (pasture "fat" or medium condition, i.e. no ribs showing).  Animal that are thinner or fatter will take longer to get into winning condition. Some yearlings will take longer as they are growing and it is hard to get condition on most in a short amount of time. Some mature animals will "fit" in 30 days.  Most sale animals will be reasonably "fit" in 30 days. If you are wanting your animals shown in June, then I would need him/her no later than April. Most animals that will begin showing in March will arrive here in January.

Training under
saddle--2 months depending on disposition and previous handling, some will take more and some will take less.  Two months will get a solid walk-trot-whoa-back, direct turning (NOT neck reining), de-spooked, walking and trotting ground poles, weaving cones.  Add another month training to get a canter on corrent leads or started over fences.  Again this is a general GUIDELINE, a lot will depend on the individual pony.  It would not be a reasonable expectation to bring an unhalter broke pony in for 2 months training and expect him to be riding and safe for children!

In hand classes
: obstacle, jumping, showmanship--One month sometimes less depending on animals natural ability and previous handing.

Ballpark fees for most shows
:  stalls $20 to $55, shavings $6 to $10 per bag, office fees $5 to $10 per animal, entry fees $15 to $25 per class (sometimes less depending on number of judges).

Please
email or call (I am easier to reach by email) with any questions.  The above information is to help people new to showing or those new to hiring a professional trainer to know what to expect.  I update owners regularly of their animals progress. I am also very upfront with owners about their animals abilities whether it be winning a halter class or making a suitable childs riding pony.  Some animals are better at certain "jobs" than others and I am here to help your animal succeed to the best of their ability.
