| Wauk-A-Way Pony Farm W.W. (Doc) Wempe (K.C. Wempe handling all inquries) Lawrence, Kansas |
| Due to age related health problems the majority of the Wauk-A-Way pony herd will be sold. Doc will keep one stallion and 5 or so mares but all of the rest MUST be sold. We would like to sell these ponies private treaty instead of taking them to an auction or having an action on the farm. Prices are reasonable and package deals are available and ALL offers will be seriously considered. Prices starting at $150 and up (again package deals available). The yearlings are selling on application and are not halter broke. Most are by J-J's Painted Duke (HOF) or Wauk-A-Way's Feature Attraction (frame overo). All of the yearling stallions have been sold. Many mares are foaling now. There are currently 90 head on the farm including 5 breeding age stallions. Direct ALL inquires to K.C. Wempe at 785-218-9135 or 785-748-0970. PLEASE DO NOT call Doc Wempe. He is having a very hard time with his memory. K.C. will be handling all of the pony sales to the best of his ability. He is not a "pony person" but is trying to make the best of it as far as handling paperwork and answering questions. You are welcome to email me and I will answer questions if I can. Wauk-A-Way Pony Farm has won the herd of four and herd of six ponies at Congress several times in the past as well as having bred or shown Congress champions and hall of fame ponies. Several of the mares are hall of fame producers or superior dams. Most all of the ponies are foundation certified and nearly all are pintos. Several are overos. There are a few left that may be small enough to hardship into AMHR. You would have to go and view the ponies in person and make a decision on that yourself as K.C. does not have measurements on the ponies and does not really have a way or the knowledge to get them measured correctly. As far as we know none of the youngstock is futurity eligible. There was 2007 stallion breeding reports filed so the 2008 foals will be eligible for registration. Links are below to see some photos of the herd. Most of these photos were taken in November 2007. A few are older photos (and I will list the dates of those). Most of these ponies are still for sale, some have been sold. IF I know which ones have been sold I will list it as such but they do represent what is available and more than likely have full or half siblings in the herd that are for sale. Again, please call K.C. Wempe if you are interested in purchasing a Wauk-A-Way pony. |
